KARACHI: PTI workers have begun rallies around the nation in opposition to the potential detention of Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in Lahore.

PTI protest at 15 places in Karachi

Protests were held at more than 15 places in Karachi, including Dawood Chowrangi, Kemari, Lyari, Neti Jetty, Hub River Road, Banaras, Board Office in District Central, 4K Chowrangi, Rashid Minhas Road in District East, Sohrab Goth and District South. Police shelling at Hasan Square

Police arrested more than 30 PTI workers from Five Star, Hasan Square and Kemari. At the location of Five Star, Hassan Square, the police fired tear gas at the workers, which affected the protestors, including women workers.

GT road closure in Gujranwala

In Gujranwala, PTI workers staged a dharna at Rahwali GT Road, while in Lucky Marwat, PTI workers blocked the Indus Highway at Gundi Chowk.

In Kamonki too, PTI workers came out on the streets, and protesters blocked Lahore and Gujranwala roads for all kinds of traffic.
